Bucks Family Hub Network
The Bucks Family Hub Network offers support to children, young people and families.
The Buckinghamshire (Bucks) Family Hub Network is a county-wide initiative by Buckinghamshire Council that provides a "one-stop shop" for families to access a range of advice, support, and services for pregnancy through to age 19 (or 25 for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities - SEND). It brings together Buckinghamshire Council, local schools, NHS trusts, and voluntary groups to help families with parenting, mental health, financial worries, youth services, and more, offering support through local family centres, community spaces, or online resources.
What the network offers:
A central point of contact: Families can go to local hubs for direct help or to be signposted to the most appropriate service for their needs.
A range of support: Services cover various aspects of family life, including:
Pregnancy and baby care
Parenting advice and support
Mental health and wellbeing: services, including youth support (Youthspace)
Financial advice: and support with the cost of living
Help with childcare: and managing daily family life
Safeguarding advice: on domestic abuse, addiction, and other issues
Educational support, including services for young people with SEND
Who is involved:
Local government: Buckinghamshire Council is a key partner.
NHS trusts: Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust are involved.
Educational providers: Schools and other educational bodies collaborate to provide support.
Community and voluntary groups: Social enterprises, charities, and faith groups are part of the network, working together to strengthen community support.
How it works:
The network uses a partnership model, bringing together professionals and community groups to provide coordinated support.
This collaborative approach aims to provide early help, prevent problems from escalating, and make it easier for families to get the right support at the right time.
